I haven't posted in awhile. Been busy on Facebook and Twitter (neither of which are satisfying experiences at this point). They do allow you to get a point out there but it is not always understood. I vowed to try to post only "positive" comments - but usually lose it when confronted with the constant "fake comments" or "spins" from the GOP. Folks, I'm a flaming liberal and if that is bothersome, then you best move on to something more to your liking.
Been thinking about 2020 (mucho!). Some thoughts, random and not fully vetted but out of my marginal brain, but my thoughts only! Hopefully it starts intelligent, interesting, positive and enlightening comments!
1. President/Vice President: (following an anything but tRump (here within: that man) theme, I have sworn to vote for, donate to, work for, spread the word about whoever the people of the amazing country decide to run against that man).
-Biden (inevitable?)/Harris (Biden quits after one term)
or
-Harris/Buttigieg or Castro
or
-Warren/Booker or Castro
or
-Sanders/Harris
Personally I'm not fond of Bernie and Warren, as organized and (I have a plan) as she is. They may both be too far left. America, on either side, is generally in the middle (except for the Kool-Aid drinkers in the GOP. I applaud all that Bernie and Liz want to do, but think we have to work in steps, deciding which investments are needed most (climate change?)(tax reform-reverse the GOP plan and increase cuts for the middle and low income Americans?)(Election reform?) and, first, where we get the money (Tax reform). (separating the possibilities / not in any order)
-Speaker of the house: Adam Schiff (full stop)
-Senate Majority leader: Warner/Blumenthal/Brown/ (which ever is available)
-Secretary of State: Barack Obama (yes you have given Barack, but we need someone like you to mend the wounds caused by that man)
-Defense: Kaine/Blumenthal/Gillibrand/Moulton
-Energy: Kennedy/
-Attorney General: Harris/Swalwell/Bennet (whichever is available)
-Treasury: Warren (full stop)
-UN Ambassador: Buttigieg/McFaul/Kennedy
-WH Chief of Staff: Porter
All of this has to ensure that we do not lose seats in either the Senate or the House so forward strategy has to be important.
Again, if you want to have conversation please respond. Disagreements are good, without being disagreeable!
Cheers and Happy Friday
