Since all middle class Americans are having to tighten their belt, are having difficulty finding jobs, are having their homes threatened (mortgage or under water value) - it is time to have both the Senate and the House of Representatives tighten their belts - especially since they are NOT DOING THEIR JOBS and continue to have so much time off.
Let's start petitions to have the Congress of the US take salary cuts.
Let's start petitions to have the Congress of the US have Medical Benefits like the rest of us.
Let's start petitions to change the Pension structure (lifetime pensions for one term - really?) of the Congress of the US.

They don't want to sit down and COMPROMISE because they are afraid of their base supporters.  This nation is being held hostage because of "THREATS" by the extremes on both the right and the left.  It is time to stop this.

Proposals for the Senate and House of Representatives:
•Salaries commensurate with age and experience
•Term limits (4 if they do their job, 2 if they don't)
•Ability for the entire US population to try to impeach/fire any member of congress with the appropriate number of signatures (vote by the entire population to impeach)
•Benefits similar the the average benefits for ALL AMERICANS
•Pensions based on years served (2 years served, 2 years of pension)
•Performance reviews by the constituents at election time
•Vacations based more on the average vacations enjoyed by all Americans

The Congress of the United States (both houses) needs DRAMATIC overhauling.
They waste our tax money, do not do their jobs, take too much time off, misuse their positions (how many start as average Americans and wind up Millionaires? )

REFORM CONGRESS NOW - MAKE THEM WORK FOR US AND NOT JUST FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR OWN BANK ACCOUNTS!

Aren't there bigger fish to fry than a Military Scandal?  Aren't there more important things to think about that what other people do in bed, or to their family....or to themselves?  Who cares about all this BS - when there are so many important issues in the world.

When do we pay attention to the important things in life?

What the hell is wrong with America and Americans that we spend so much time on finding fault with each other and not lifting each other up?

When do we learn from our experiences?

When do we grow up and act like adults and not critics of stupid human behavior?

G & I saw Lily yesterday afternoon at the McCallum in PD.  Mostly brilliant - really shines as she "wonders and worries" about "things" in life - some cute skits with the old characters - a couple of darker skits that didn't totally connect.

Today, another milestone comes to pass - I'm 39 once again!
So I give thanks for the small number of people who mean something to me in this life and Thank God for all the blessings I am privileged to enjoy.

Leaders can do great things, if the Govt got out of the way - how do you lead with no Govt behind you Newts?  How do you lead when you believe only in yourself and your own ability to earn money?

The "candidates" (and I use the term loosely) should keep quiet about Foreign Affairs - unless they unite as Americans and support the President.  Mittens comes very close to treason with his comments.  Fight your battles at home, on domestic issues and UNITE for the world to see us!

Snob, really Rickey?

Rickey thinks the President is a snob for wanting kids to get educations (not just college, but higher learning of some sort - State of the Union, 2009) and basically distorts the truth about what the President said - does he really think so little of his base that he can flat-ass lie and they will believe him.
He wants less government, unless it involves looking into peoples bedrooms, woman's reproductive organs, contraception, etc.  What a hypocritical fool!
The liberal colleges are going to steal religion from the students.  More foolishness folks!

Santorum continually pushes Mittens to the far right, which he may never recover from.  Newts is lost in Georgia somewhere and poor Ron Paul is just lost.

Our President made an appropriate and sincere apology regarding the error made in burning the Holy Books in Afghanistan.
Pallin and Gingrich are absolutely wrong to criticize this.
Start being Americans you wing-nuts - we all have responsibility to be the best Americans we can - and you two idiots fail miserably!

What is happening?

I respect the rights of the religious right - but the rights are theirs - why are they trying to get government out of our lives (smaller govt, no tax, etc.) but continue to try to force their religious views on all Americans?  Do as I say?  They are zealots who will harm America and our image worldwide.
I'm saddened by the 4 Republician candidate's comments regarding the President's foreign policy and their comments on his "weakness".  Their comments are close to treasonous and they should apologize.  When they show the world our lack of concern for the ENTIRE world, they shake their limp fists at our "enemies" and make a fool of all of America.  In today's world there can be no "enemies", there can only be people who have disagreements - and those disagreements should be solved diplomatically, with toned-down rhetoric and a goal of peace throughout the world.
Republicans - we are all created by God, we are all his children and I believe he loves each and every one of us!  Why don't you believe that?
